CHILTERN FUTSAL

For Futsal Not Profit

Promoting physical and mental health through futsal

After several successful years, good feedback and helping several players access a sport with both financial and practical support we have applied for official charitable status. We await the Charities Commission Decision with excitement and patience.

Our Charitable Aims

Promoting physical and mental health through futsal

The company is set up to build on its success promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of people in the United Kingdom for the public benefit through the promotion and provision of amateur futsal.

To advance education for the public benefit by providing training and development opportunities in futsal coaching, including language, physical fitness and other related skills.

After 9 years of facilitating and funding female opportunities to access sport on a par with boys – (evolving into Chiltern Futsal in 2022) the club has formalised its aims and hopes to build on its success for the future. Committing to allow all players the opportunity and environment to improve and love this sport.

With female participation in 'football' and still at 1.2% compared with male participation at 9% (stats are from Hertfordshire across all disciplines of the game) we are missing a huge opportunity, as futsal represents a new frontier where women feel more welcome and we believe is the key to encouraging more females of all ages into ball/feet related sports. Futsal, Football, Footvolley Teqbal – and enjoying all the physical, technical and social benefits that sit alongside these sports.

We believe Futsal is key to the uplift in female participation as it moves from the traditions embedded in the national sport that make it more challenging for female involvement.

Female leadership is key to showing girls that from their first step on to a court that they belong there and will be in charge. We work with amazing male and female coaches so our promotion of female leadership is very much hand in hand with our commitment to equality and a world where 50/50 representation is normal.

Our model of offering futsal at well under the price of even very well-funded charitable competitors will continue. We will keep overheads to a minimum, and avoid overspending on advertising and social media – word of mouth and a positive reputation will be key to expansion.

We will develop beyond the aims of only winning trophies to celebrate self-development, teamwork, education and contributing back to society. We will offer the opportunity to coach and lead, travel and develop a broad spectrum of transferable skills. Sending out well equipped young people whose interests are in others as well as themselves.

We hope to be recognised as a registered charity and we will work at every stage to access the best coaches and opportunities for our players and coaches. We will work to get the best external support to facilitate this. Updates as they come in, there are some timescales we can't control and the work we do will not change.

Looking forward to a great season and a new era for Chiltern Futsal.
